Pittsburgh Italian Restaurant - Piccolina’s
Walking into Piccolina’s Italian restaurant is like walking into a friend’s home. Your warm welcome begins at our front door, where we or one of our family members greet you.
A stop at the bar prior to your meal may have you into a conversation with one of our bartenders or a regular friend.
Your dining experience always provides comfort from one of our loyal employees. Give us the opportunity to show you what we are about. We look forward to making you a regular guest along with many others.
From the beginning our goal was good food, excellent service, and an affordable wine list that people would enjoy. Consistency is way of life and we go the extra mile to make it that way. Your food is always prepared the way you had it the last visit here. Service is always friendly, efficient, and professional. You don’t just become a regular at Piccolina’s; you become a part of our family.
One of the things we are most proud of is our impeccable wine list. We, along with our daughter Angela, spend at least 20 hours a week each expanding our knowledge of wine, and what we can offer our customers, reasonably. We hold our price to a minimal to encourage our customers to try wines and expand their knowledge along with us. A yearly trip to Napa Valley is taken to meet with wine vineyard owners and wine makers. We also hold quarterly wine dinners featuring our top picks.
Our newest addition has been our additional seating and private banquet room with seating up to 40 guests with a personal bar. Seasonal months allow us to offer seating outside on our covered deck, along the quiet creek.
The most commonly asked question at Piccolina’s is where the name came from. After many years and restaurants, and children now in there 20’s, empty nest syndrome set in. We now had the time for a new beginning and our next child. After months of going back and forth on a name, a good friend picked his head up, and said “You look like you need a drink, Piccolina”. We looked at each other and knew we had found our name. In June of 2001, Piccolina’s was created.
